Local Outreach
Plus Power has been developing Desert Crest with a focus on meeting the needs of the APS grid and the customers it serves. We are committed to working with the Pinal County and Casa Grande community and keeping its residents involved throughout the development process.
Community Benefits
The Desert Crest Energy Storage facility will be a good neighbor and a valuable asset to the surrounding community for decades to come. The project will provide necessary capacity to the region with no air polluting emissions. As a static facility with insignificant traffic and minimal municipal services, the Desert Crest facility will have little impact on neighbors. Significant project benefits to the community include:
Enhanced resiliency and reliability for local residents and businesses
Expanded property tax base for the local district
High-paying construction jobsSupport economic growth in the region
Supports affordable customer rates
